SPP PhD Student Seminar - First Announcement

The first PhD student seminar will be held in the "Dr. Otto Bagge-Kolleg" in Sehlendorf/Germany at the shoreline of the baltic see. It is organized by M. Bauer (Universität Kiel). The seminar will give the PhD students working in the SPP the opportunity to present their projects, discuss the relevant physics and form a social and scientific network. The seminar is scheduled for September 20-24, 2010
International Workshop on Ultrafast Nanoopitcs - First Announcement

This workshop is the follow up meeting of the first "Workshop on Ultrafast Nanoopitcs" which was organised as a "Else and Wilhelm Heraeus Seminar" in 2008 in Bad Honnef/Germany. Ultrafast nanooptics is rapidly evolving and thus the second workshop will give the opportunity to present and discuss the recent developments in the field. The workshop also serves as the annual meeting of the priority program members.
A list of invited speakers and information about the submission deadline will be available here soon.

The International Workshop on Nonlinear Optics and Excitation Kinetics in Semiconductors is the 10th meeting in a series which started in 1987 and was continued at several locations in Germany. These meetings have focused on the area of nonlinear optics and ultrafast dynamics of semiconductors and other material systems.
The next workshop will be held in Paderborn/Germany August 16-17, 2010
